Going from a secondary library to an elementary library was a challenge. I learned magic to be more fun and entertaining. It worked! I could do the same magic tricks over and over and my students loved it.

Now, with the The Magician published, I stepped up my game and dove into the next level of magic. This gave me the opportunity to learn so much and also be included in a monthly meeting of magicians to learn more.
What is Magic Makerspace?
I have presented at schools and libraries showing children how to do some basic magic tricks. Many of these tricks involve making them from everyday materials. To find these tricks, I did what librarians do. Research! The best book for children to learn magic is Big Magic for Little Hands. I purchased a lot of magic books and some were out of print.
So basically you need to choose a trick from a magic book you want to have the children make and have the materials they would need to make it and practice it. This was a hit during two weeks of summer camp! The finale was performing for parents, grandparents, and the other campers. Photo below was doing magic makerspace at my local library.
