The Magician-sneak peek!

Very excited to attend my first Book Expo and Book Con in NYC! If you are in the area, check out The RoadRunner Press (Booth 1941) on both days. I will be signing The Cloud Artist and promoting The Magician with Pamela Behrend who is the illustrator. Hope to meet some new people/readers! Follow-up teacher activities for my books are on my website: www.sherrimaret.com.

I am quite amazed that The Cloud Artist found its way into the Seattle Art Museum Exhibition Reading Room. Thank you for putting it on your recommended reading list! The Cloud Artist is finding itself in so many wonderous places! http://seattleartmuseum.org/Documents/jeffrey-gibson-recommended-reading-list.pdf
The Cloud Artist was reviewed and recommended in the September 2018 issue of School Library Journal. What an honor! The article is called Native Voices.
Many thanks to The RoadRunner Press, Merisha Sequoia Clark, and Dora Wickson for this collaborative effort to create this Choctaw tale.
The book is available at The Choctaw Store, Choctaw Nation’s Headquarters, Choctaw Museum, and the Five Civilized Tribes Museum as well as any bookstore. The Cloud Artist is taking us on a beautiful journey!
Hello!
Thank you for your interest in my work! It has been a wonderful summer and things got so busy that I forgot to send out a couple of posts on The Cloud Artist.
It was a finalist for Oklahoma Book Award, First Nation Communities Read Award, and recently announced finalist for Writers’ League of Texas Book Award!
Many thanks to Merisha Sequoia Clark for the illustrations and for The RoadRunner Press for publishing it!
Many thanks for your support!
Sherri
In article “5 Books to Read on the Road” in a journal about authors and books, The Cloud Artist, was included on the list. So excited!
Even though I am not at American Library Association Conference, I am happy my book got to go!
